Roots
For me, woodworking is about trees.
I grew up in the woods of New England – fall foliage, tree forts, This Old House. I went to Woodside Elementary, where tall pines, shady oaks, and sturdy maples were my first classroom.
I loved K’nex because I could build things taller than me. Many years later, the Coastal Redwoods completely rewired how I think about the scale of life and time.
Working with wood connects me to what's most important – people, nature, and expression.
Trees make everything possible for us.
